Set your email preferences folks!!

Oh Lordy. I am getting emails every time one of you replies to my post. Time to fix that before I go on over to the owl box. See you two later.

Yup good point! If you are looking for how to do it, look up there is a link for "profile" when you go into that link click on the prefrences tab and scroll down and change Always notify me of replies : to a No unless you want an email every time somone replys to a thred you have started or posted on.

Good tip! Forgot not everyone would know to change it

One thing about the emails - if you post and then 10 people post, for example, but you have not been back in the topic, it will only send you ONE email. You won't get 10 emails. It just lets you know someone has responded so you can go check if it's something you want to know about or respond to

edit - another thing to know - if you just want to stop getting emails for a particular topic, at the bottom of the page click where it says
"Stop watching this topic". That way, you can get notifications of new posts where you want them and not where you don't.

You can also go to your profile and click on the tab that says " Topic being watched" to pick and choose which of the topics you want to get email notification about. It really can be a helpful thing to use
